- How do I search for horse adverts?
- Use one of the following approaches to look for horses adverts:
- Go to the Main Page by clicking the HOME PAGE link
 on the navigation bar. This page contains a horse/pony finder to enable a quick search of adverts. You don’t have to enter a lot of information, enter a minimum height of 14.3. Click on the Search Now  button and all horses will be listed.
- Go to the Main Page by clicking on the HOME PAGE link on the navigation bar. This page contains a list of popular advert types and sub types on the left hand side. Expand the Horses type
 if not already done so, and then click on one of the sub types.
- Go to the Main Page by clicking on the HOME PAGE link on the navigation bar. This page contains a Top Searches section to the middle right of the page. Click the link
 to get a list of all horses currently being advertised.
- Go to the Search Equibuys page by clicking on the BUY ONLINE link
 on the navigation bar. Click either the  link or the  link. This will take you to another page where you can enter your search criteria and then click the link to get a list of adverts.

- Does the Google Maps TM integration on Equibuys show the exact location of a seller's advert?
- If a seller has entered a postcode then it may well do. Not all sellers enter postcodes though. A seller is required to enter an advert location when they create an advert (postcode is optional), but this very generalised and is based on county. Equibuys then uses Google Maps TM to give an approximate location, that’s all it is, but should be enough to give you an idea of how far you will have to travel to see the advert!

- Why does there not seem to be a lot of information for an advert?
- It could be that the seller just has not added a lot of detail to their advert or it may be in the FURTHER DETAILS section which can be found under the Google Maps TM integration on the advert.
- How do I view photo's?
- When you click on an advert the whole advert will be displayed on the screen. If a seller has added photo’s to their advert then the primary photo (see What is the primary photo and is one required? for more information on primary photo’s) will be enlarged and displayed when you first view the advert. A seller can add up to 12 photo’s with their advert. These will be displayed as thumbnail pictures to the right of the main enlarged photo. Click on a photo and it will be enlarged taking the place of the previously enlarged photo.
- What is the slideshow?
- A slideshow is a continuous automatic display of all the photo’s a seller has added to their advert. It starts with the first and cycles through all displaying each for a couple of seconds. The show repeats after the last photo has been displayed. To see a slideshow either click the link
 on the advert control bar or click the link  to the right of the main photo. A slideshow is only available if there are 2 or more photo’s added to an advert.
- How do I view videos?
- When you click on an advert the whole advert will be displayed on the screen. If a seller has added video’s to their advert then a video link
 will the available under the thumbnail photo’s. A seller can add up to 3 video’s with their advert. Click the link to play the video.
- How do I view a horse or pony’s BSJA record?
- If a seller has uploaded a horse or pony’s BSJA record then it will be viewable in the Show jumping section of their advert. This additional information can be found in the FURTHER DETAILS section that can be accessed under the Google Maps TM integration. In this section to the right there may be links to each section a seller has completed. If the show jumping link
 is shown then click it. If a seller has uploaded the BSJA record then you can view it by clicking on the link  .
- What is the difference between Thumbnail and Table View?
- With a thumbnail view the primary photo is shown always along with a few select details of the advert. For example:
A buyer can then view the whole advert by clicking on the photo or
the view link. Additionally the controls  allow a buyer to either view,
save or print the advert respectively. If the buyer were to click on
the breed link then they would see all adverts that meet that breed
type (e.g in this instance they would see all Welsh Ponies and Cobs). If
the buyer were to click on the colour link then they would see all
adverts that meet that colour type (e.g in this instance they would see
all Strawberry Roans). Similarly clicking on the country link will show
all adverts in England and clicking on region link will show all
adverts in southern England.
A table view is slightly different in that the primary photo is not
displayed permanently and the buyer can sort their results. For more

- Click on the respective link

- You can! Hover your mouse pointer over the title of the advert and
a second or so later the photo will appear. For example:
Can I sort the columns in table view?- Yes. We believe this is a very powerful and useful feature of
Equibuys and one that our competitors don’t offer! Click on any of the
table column headings to sort the table in ascending or descending mode
e.g. see prices ranging from lowest to highest first or vice versa by
clicking on

- The seller has not left a contact telephone
number. How do I get in touch with them?

- How do I know if an advert has been placed by a
trader?

- How do I contact the seller of an advert?
- Sellers may or may not leave their telephone number on their
advert. If they don’t or if you prefer not to call them then you can
send them an email message through Equibuys. When you click on an
advert the whole advert will be displayed on the screen. From here you
have two ways of sending an email.
- At the top of the advert is a control bar and one of those
controls enables you to send an email to the seller. Click on the
contro l
 . The contact advert owner screen will be displayed. Once you
have filled out the relevant information click on the link  to send the
email.
- Near the bottom of the advert where the additional details are
displayed there is a link on the right hand side to send an email.

- How do I email an advert to a friend or family
member?
- When you click on an advert the whole advert will be displayed on
the screen. At the top of the advert is a control bar and one of those
controls enables you to send an email to another person. Click on the

 . The send to a friend screen will be displayed. Once you have
filled out the relevant information click on the link  to send the
email.
- What are email alerts?
- It can take time to find the right horse or pony. Rather than
having to search Equibuys every single day or worry that you may have
missed an advert that you would have been interested in, Equibuys gives
you the ability to register for email alerts. Email alerts are
automatic emails that Equibuys sends out to registered buyers for
adverts that meet a specific criteria. For instance, you may be looking
for a 15.2 all rounder and have a budget of no more than £2500. You can
enter this type of criteria on Equibuys and when an advert is published
that matches that criteria then we’ll email you a link. It’s simple but
incredibly powerful and also has an advantage to a seller as they are
hitting a target audience. Email alerts can also be set up for Trailers
and Horseboxes.
- Can I turn email alerts off and on?
- Yes. Once you have logged in click the
 link in the  section. Emails
alerts can then be turned on or off by clicking the relevant radio
button  .
- I've seen an ad I really like. Is there a way
the site can remember this ad for me?
- Yes. To enable the site to remember it though the site needs to
remember you! You help the site here by registering. Once you have registered and logged in
you can save an advert that you like. When you click on an advert the
whole advert will be displayed on the screen. At the top of the advert
is a control bar and one of those controls enables you to save the advert.
Click on the control
 . A confirmation stating that
the advert has been added to your favourites should be displayed. The
my favourites  section is displayed on the right hand side of the
screen. You should see a link to your recently added favourite here. For example, .
- How do I remove an ad from my favourites?
- Click on the
 link in the section. Your current
favourites will be displayed in thumbnail mode. Click on the  link to
the right of the favourite you want to remove. You can also remove all
your favourites by clicking on  at the bottom of the screen.
- How do I sign up for the newsletter?
- The newsletter is not available yet.
- Do I need to register to browse adverts?
- No, you can browse adverts without having to register. Buyer
registration allows you to save favourite ads, setup email alerts and
sign up for the news letter.
